After the controversy surrounding his call on Sunday's match referee to protect his players - Galway senior hurling boss Ger Lougnane says he can't afford to make mistakes about the team selection this weekend.

Clare's former All-Ireland winning boss turned up the temperature ahead of the Croker SHC quarter-final accusing them of past "savagery" to the disappointment of Noreside County Board officials who want him to produce evidence to that effect.

There's no room for any mistakes against the Cats - Loughnane.
