Paul Doolin has been confirmed this evening as the new manager of Cork City.

Paul Doolin has been confirmed this evening as the new manager of Cork City.

Negotiations have been taking place between the outgoing Drogheda United manager and the club since the weekend.

A statement from the club confirmed Doolin had signed up on a two-year term, and will be officially unveiled in the role on Thursday.

The 45-year-old steered the Drogs to League, FAI Cup and two Setanta Cup wins during his five years in charge at United Park.
