Just Married is the rather jaded story of Tom (Ashton Kutcher) and Sarah (Brittany Murphy), a pair of lovebirds who go and spoil a wonderful thing by getting married.
He’s a sports fanatic who works at a radio station and she’s a Bel Air princess who works at being a Bel Air princess.
Opposites attract and all that kind of rubbish, and the happy couple head off to Europe for their honeymoon.
In flashback, Tom (Kutcher) explains how they met and how it all went wrong as their dream honeymoon turned into a nightmare — including a wrecked rental car, getting thrown out of a 5-star hotel and the reappearance of Sarah’s ex-boyfriend Peter (Christian Kane).
Just Married is an unoriginal, unfunny, poorly directed cliche.
The only saving grace is the performances of both Kutcher and Murphy who do their best to breathe some life into floundering script.
Maybe they were just killing time until something better comes along. I know I was.
