A 7.30am precautionary inspection has been called at Carlisle ahead of their six-race card on Saturday afternoon.

A 7.30am precautionary inspection has been called at Carlisle ahead of their six-race card on Saturday afternoon.

The Cumbrian track is due to stage the £35,000 totesport Lanzarote Hurdle, which has been transferred from Kempton, but officials are worried about the threat of overnight rain.

Clerk of the course Jonnie Fenwicke-Clennell said: “It is dry and we are fine at the moment, but there is rain forecast overnight so we are going to have a look.”
