The case against a man accused of breaking into England footballer Steven Gerrard’s home was adjourned today.
Martin Wilson, 22, was due to appear before magistrates in Southport but was not produced by officials at prison, where he is on remand.
Wilson, of Stockbridge Village, Liverpool, is accused of burglary and robbery on December 11, 2007, at the house in Formby, Merseyside.
Four masked men broke into the Liverpool captain’s home when he was playing in France against Marseille in a Champions’ League clash.
The player’s wife, Alex Curran, 27, was home at the time and was left shaken but uninjured.
Wilson is due to appear at court again on November 20.
