Student chases murderer until he drops victim's head

A student in Uganda chased a murderer until he dropped the head of the victim he'd just decapitated.

A student in Uganda chased a murderer until he dropped the head of the victim he'd just decapitated.

The student was in a Kampala library when the killer chopped off his victim's head with a sword.

The murderer put it in a bag and ran off. The student chased him for more than a mile until he dropped the head.

The murderer has disappeared, local media report.

Regional police commander Ahmed Wafuba said: "It is very rare that an assailant kills somebody and carries away the parts."

The killing happened at St Matia Mulumba public library where the victim was studying for his exams.
