Portsmouth have appointed former England captain Tony Adams as manager Harry Redknapp’s new assistant.

Portsmouth have appointed former England captain Tony Adams as manager Harry Redknapp’s new assistant.

The former Arsenal defender began his managerial career at Wycombe with mixed success but has been given the opportunity to return to full-time coaching at Fratton Park.

Adams, 39, will officially take up his role on Saturday.
