Delaney continues tickets row with Scotland

FAI chief John Delaney has been commenting on the tickets row with the Scottish FA in the programme notes for tonight’s friendly against the USA.

The FAI were unhappy with their allocation of 3,209 tickets for the Group D match on Friday and John Delaney has said in his notes tonight that they were disappointed with the Scottish Football Association’s handling of the affair.

He said: “We were disappointed with a number of aspects concerning tickets for the recent away match in Scotland, particularly the SFA’s handling of certain important issues.

“On our side we have appointed a supporter liaison officer to form a travel club for those independent supporters who are not members of supporter clubs but who have travelled around the world regularly in support of the national team.

“The visits of Poland, Scotland and England to the Aviva Stadium will all be major occasions and we will be introducing our Hat Trick ticket for fans.”
