The Government is set to make a dramatic intervention to try and bring industrial harmony to Irish Rail.

The Government is set to make a dramatic intervention to try and bring industrial harmony to Irish Rail.

Following a year of widespread disruption caused by strikes at the company, the Minister for Public Enterprise, Mary O'Rourke, looks set to appoint a top level team to investigate industrial relations there.

It is understood that the task force will be drawn from experts and people who have a wide range of experience in industrial relations.
