Patrick Vieira has claimed there is "no chance" of him leaving Highbury - even if the Gunners do not qualify for Europe next season.
The midfielder says he would not depart London for another top European club.
And the French star also believes there is plenty of excitement in store for Arsenal fans this season, with the possibility of success both home and abroad.
Vieira told Capital Gold radio: "I'm so happy here, I have four years left on my contract, and there is no chance I will leave here."
Vieira's performances came under scrutiny after he was sent off twice early in the season - but although he has not been booked since he is critical of his own game.
"I didn't get any bookings in 19 games, but I don't think my performances on the pitch are that good. I don't think that (the lack of bookings) is one of the important things for me.
"My big thing is to do well for the team and I don't think I am doing it at the moment.
"I don't really care about that (the bookings). What is really important is to win games."
Vieira also admitted he and Arsenal's other international stars are looking over their shoulders at some of the less fashionable teams in the Premiership, as opposed to the likes of big-spending Chelsea and Leeds.
"I think that teams like Sunderland, Ipswich and Leicester are going to make it really hard for us," he said.
"But I think we have the team to do really well, so it's not finished yet."
Despite the 13-point gap between Arsenal and Manchester United in the league, the World Cup and Euro 2000 winner still believes there is plenty to play for this season.
"We still have the qualification for the Champions League, and the FA Cup, and I think both competitions are really exciting."
He added his side will be doing everything in their power to get their league season back on track.
"We will give everything we can until the end of the season. We have to concentrate, there is a long way to go. We have to fight, and it's not going to be easy."
"There is a really long way to go. We are so many points behind, I don't think we have to care about Manchester United. Our priority is to take one game at a time, and try to win every one."
