Madonna has reportedly reached a $44.8m (€34.7m) divorce settlement with ex-husband Guy Ritchie so he can buy homes in London and New York to be close to their three children.
The former couple announced their split in October and the divorce was settled last month with details of the agreement kept secret at the time.
But now a British tabloid reports that although Ritchie, 40, signed away any claim on Madonna's $438m (€340m) fortune, he will be given $17.5m (€13.5m) cash to help him buy property after Madonna insisted on keeping the marital home in Marylebone, London.
'Snatch' director Ritchie has also been given the couple's country estate in Wiltshire, England worth $29.2m (€22.6m) and will keep his pub - Punchbowl in London's Mayfair - which is worth $4.4m (€3.4m).
The cash will help him buy property in London and New York so he can be close their kids - Lourdes, 12, Rocco seven and David Banda, three - when they are with Madonna.
A friend of Ritchie's told the News of the World, "He never wanted any cash handouts. He agreed with Madonna's demands to keep the peace."
