Traffic police needed to clamp down on road deaths, say AA
A dedicated Garda road traffic corp is needed, according to AA roadwatch.
The call comes after the carnage on Irish roads over the last 24 hours.
The automobile group insist that the initial impact of the penalty points has gone and a crisis is growing on Irish roads.
Spokesperson Conor Fughnan says there is no excuse for not implementing laws that should save lives.
