Arsenal twice hit the woodwork as Barclays Premier League title rivals Manchester City somehow survived a first-half onslaught at Emirates Stadium.
Robin van Persie and Cesc Fabregas both saw their shots come back off the base of the same post, with goalkeeper Joe Hart beaten.
