Danone SA, one of the world's largest food producers, has said it exercised its option to acquire 19.8% of Israel's Eden Springs from the controlling shareholders, the Naftali brothers, for €82m.
The option was part of a contract signed between the companies in June.
Danone also increased its stake in Danone Springs of Eden by almost 5% to 58%.
In April, the company agreed a joint venture with Eden Springs to combine each group's water cooler bottle supply operations in Europe, to give it a total market share of 20% in the region.
