The chairman of the Oireachtas inquiry into the CIE mini-CTC signalling system has admitted that some of those asked to comply with the investigation could launch legal challenges.

The chairman of the Oireachtas inquiry into the CIE mini-CTC signalling system has admitted that some of those asked to comply with the investigation could launch legal challenges.

The inquiry is due to begin public hearings on Monday.

However, Sean Doherty admitted that a legal challenge like that taken against the Abbeylara inquiry could stall proceedings.
