An Irish comedian has begun a David Blaine-style stunt on the banks of River Liffey to raise money for charity.
Dave Young is planning to spend 44 hours suspended in a box on Dublin’s Sir John Rogerson’s Quay.
He entered the box yesterday evening and will remain there until tomorrow afternoon.
Mr Young is spending his time in the box living in the lap of luxury, unlike David Blaine, who staved himself for 44 days in a test of endurance.
“I’m not starving, I’m not doing this for myself or three of four million like he did,” Mr Young said today.
“I’m doing this for the homeless. The objective of this is to raise money for the homeless.”
