Everyone involved with the Lord of The Rings, the Return of The King is celebrating today. The film was the big winner at the Golden Globes with four awards, including best director for Peter Jackson.
“It was an out-of-body experience,” said Jackson. “I do feel a wave of pride and accomplishment.”
He refused to speculate on the assumption here in Hollywood that his film is now bound to triumph at next month’s Oscars.
Jackson beat Clint Eastwood for Mystic River and Sofia Coppola for Lost in Translation to win the best director award. Coppola, daughter of Francis Ford Coppola (The Godfather) did, however, scoop an award for her screenplay for the romantic comedy.
