Woman’s powerful sign makes Garth bring concert to a standstill

We know what you all are thinking, but we have to show you this amazing moment at a recent Garth Brooks concert in the US.

Yes, we too are still recovering from 'Croke Park Gate 2014', but we think this woman's story is more powerful than a cancelled concert.

While performing at the Target Center in Minneapolis over the weekend, country star Brooks was stopped in his tracks by a sign held up by long time fan Teresa Shaw, who is also battling cancer.

Shaw has been reportedly taking on stage three breast cancer since June and took time out from treatment to attend a Brooks' concert with her daughter in her hometown.

At around the 2:10 mark in the video Garth couldn't help but notice the sign that Teresa held aloft.

The sign read as follows:

“Chemo this morning, Garth tonight, enjoying ‘The Dance’”

Having read the sign Garth sat down in front of Teresa and while continuing to sing he took her hand and then gave her his guitar right off his back.

As the song ended Garth held up the sign and exclaimed, “You have all of my strength. You have everybody’s strength in here and you go kick cancer’s ass.”

Brooks’ mother and sister died from cancer, so Garth took it as a sign from above.

Sorry there’s something in our eye …
