Laois gardaí continue to question man in woman's death probe

Gardaí in Co. Laois are still questioning a man in connection with the death of a woman over the weekend.

Gardaí in Co. Laois are still questioning a man in connection with the death of a woman over the weekend.

The 30-year-old is being held at Portlaoise Garda Station following the discovery of the woman's body at a flat in Mountrath on Saturday evening.

A post mortem examination has been carried on the woman who is in her thirties.

The man is being held under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act.
