Six bodies recovered after UK helicopter crash

Six bodies have now been pulled from the Irish Sea following a helicopter crash in the UK yesterday.

Six bodies have now been pulled from the Irish Sea following a helicopter crash in the UK yesterday.

The aircraft was flying Centrica gas workers to shore, from a rig off Morecambe Bay near Blackpool.

The helicopter had seven persons on board - two crew and five passengers - when it crashed into the sea 25 miles west of Fleetwood.

RAF rescue teams and lifeboats were scrambled to the area after a distress signal was picked up.

One person is has not yet been found.
