Actor Russell Crowe was spoken to by Scotland Yard officers after an alleged brawl in a restaurant, it emerged today.
The 38-year-old was involved in an argument with another man at Zuma, in London’s exclusive Knightsbridge area, near the Harrods store.
Police were called but no complaint was made, said a spokesman for the Metropolitan force.
“We were called at 12.42am on November 13 to the Zuma restaurant on Raphael Street to an incident involving two men believed to be in their 30s,” he said.
“Police arrived and the situation was under control. No allegations of crime were received. There were no injuries.
“There will be no further police action at present.”
Crowe, whose films include Gladiator and A Beautiful Mind, was said by today’s edition of The Sun to have scuffled in the toilet and bar area with fellow New Zealander Eric Watson.
The newspaper reported that the trouble was ended after the intervention of the former EastEnders actor Ross Kemp.
Both men were said to be keen not pursue the matter.
