Man killed in Leenane crash

Gardaí in Galway are appealing for witnesses to a crash in Leenane in the early hours of this morning that claimed the life of a man.

Gardaí in Galway are appealing for witnesses to a crash in Leenane in the early hours of this morning that claimed the life of a man.

The 43-year-old died when the car he was driving collided with a ditch just after 1am.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Motorists are being advised that diversions are in place in the area.
