Two Co Louth road accident victims named

Gardaí have named the two people who died in a road accident in County Louth this morning.

Gardaí have named the two people who died in a road accident in County Louth this morning.

They were 58-year-old Catherine Sheils and 55-year-old Jim Beirne - both of Tierney Street in Ardee.

The two pedestrians were knocked down and killed near their home in the early hours.

A 19-year-old man is due in court in connection with the accident later this month.
