Two in court over homeless man's death

Two men are due in court today charged with the murder of a homeless man who was found dead at a hostel in Belfast.

Two men are due in court today charged with the murder of a homeless man who was found dead at a hostel in Belfast.

The men, aged 35 and 39, will appear before Belfast magistrates as the funeral of Eric Atkins takes place across the city.

Mr Atkins, 41, a former Royal Irish Ranger originally from Antrim, will be buried with full military honours.

His body was discovered when police were called to the Lee Hestia shelter last week.
