The Health and Safety Authority has urged people who are working outdoors this weekend to take extreme care.

With temperatures continuing to soar into the high 20s today and tomorrow, the HSA is warning workers to take appropriate precautions to protect their skin.

They have also emphasised that sunscreen is just one element of skin protection and wide brimmed hats and protective clothing are also important.

The HSA reminded workers of the importance of adequate ventilation and shade in all workplaces, during the heatwave.
