Builder cannot explain how Burke's house was paid for

Building developer Tom Brennan has failed to explain to the Flood Tribunal how Ray Burke's former home in Swords, Co Dublin was paid for.

Building developer Tom Brennan has failed to explain to the Flood Tribunal how Ray Burke's former home in Swords, Co Dublin was paid for.

Mr Brennan told the tribunal that he does not know, but that his solicitor is looking into the matter.

The inquiry also heard this morning that the Burke family acted as estate agents for Mr Brennan and his business partner, Tom McGowan, during the 1970s.

It was told that Ray Burke was a member of Dublin County Council and regularly proposed rezoning matters at council meetings.
