Former Melbourne Demons player Nicholas Walsh has returned home and will play for Cavan this season after three years Down Under.

Walsh joined the Demons in 2000 but returned home this week to rejoin the Cavan football panel and will look to impress new boss Eamonn Coleman ahead of the new year.

Meanwhile, Coleman has also added former Ulster title winners Paul O'Dowd, Terry Farrelly and Gerry Sheridan to the Breffni ranks.
