NAMA welcomes dismissal of Treasury Holdings legal challenge

NAMA has welcomed the dismissal of a legal challenge against the agency by Treasury Holdings.

The High Court today ruled in favour of the National Asset Management Agency's move to appoint receivers to almost €1 billion of the property company's assets.

Treasury Holdings has said that it is disappointed by the decision - and it plans to mount an appeal.

John Bruder - the Managing Director of Treasury Ireland - wants a third party negotiator appointed, to secure a better bid for the loans - than offered through receivership.

He said that there are investors willing to offer a far superior bid for the assets involved here.
