Aer Lingus to take fight to Europe

Aer Lingus will take their campaign to save jobs at the airline to the European commission today.

Aer Lingus will take their campaign to save jobs at the airline to the European commission today.

Union officials met Minister for Public Enterprise, Mary O’Rourke last night.

O’Rourke has said state aid will be granted to Aer Lingus but this is subject to EU approval.

The commission will want guarantees that workers will accept major cutbacks and that the airline can be made viable.
