Ahern to meet Paisley in London next week

The Taoiseach, Bertie Ahern, is expected to meet Democratic Unionist Party leader Ian Paisley next week to discuss the upcoming review of the Good Friday Agreement.

The Taoiseach, Bertie Ahern, is expected to meet Democratic Unionist Party leader Ian Paisley next week to discuss the upcoming review of the Good Friday Agreement.

The bilateral talks, expected to take place on Thursday, will be the first ever face-to-face meeting between an Irish Taoiseach and a leader of the DUP.

Foreign Affairs Minister Brian Cowen and Justice Minister Michael McDowell will also attend the meeting, which is expected to take place at the Irish Embassy in London.
