Ed Sheeran tipped to play at Berkeley fundraiser

A fundraiser for survivors of the Berkeley balcony collapse will be held tonight in The Academy, Dublin.

Not only will Gavin James, Kodaline, Mundy, Daft Funk, The Fontaines and The Dublin Gospel Choir perform for this worthy cause - it’s now speculated that Ed Sheeran will make an appearance in light of his ‘secret’ Whelan’s gig last night.

Friends, fans and supporters of the cause are taking no chances, and have been active on Twitter all day in a bid to make it happen.

Tickets are €25, and all proceeds will go to the students who suffered life-changing injuries when the balcony gave way last month.

Westlife’s Nicky Byrne is set to present the evening, and currently over 1,000 people have confirmed their attendence on Facebook.

So Ed, or no Ed, it’s guaranteed to be a huge success for a great cause.
