Author JK Rowling refuses to change her mind and write further Harry Potter books, because she is determined to retire the teenage wizard before the character becomes stale.

Author JK Rowling refuses to change her mind and write further Harry Potter books, because she is determined to retire the teenage wizard before the character becomes stale.

The British writer, who is writing the final Harry Potter novel, admits she will find it hard to cope without her phenomenally successful creations.

She says: "I'm going to have to learn (to live without him), I think. (But) you've got to go out on top."
