Versatile Tipperary defender Eamon Corcoran has pulled out of Sunday's Shinty-hurling clash against Scotland at Croke Park.
Corcoran is flying out New York this weekend to play for Tipperary against Westmeath in the championship semi-final stateside.
He said: "I'd love to play for Ireland but the chance to go to New York was too good to turn down. I'm only young once."
Ireland manager Paudie O'Neill said: "Our selector Nicky Brennan is looking for a replacement for Eamon but I think we have enough quality in our ranks that we can still do okay."
