Limerick senior hurling manager Joe McKenna has stepped down following the team's embarrassing defeat by Clare in the All Ireland qualifiers at Ennis.
Team coach Ger Cunningham also quit while trainer Dave Mahedy is considering his position.
McKenna and Cunningham had more than a year left on their two-year contracts.
“We were all disappointed with the performance against Clare but did not expect that Joe would decide to call it a day,” said county board chairman Denis Holmes.
