Olivier Magne has announced he intends to quit French rugby in the summer to play in the Zurich Premiership.
The Montferrand back-row has been the cornerstone of a superb French Six Nations campaign which ended in glory against Ireland.
Fitness permitting, the 28-year-old will be an integral part of Bernard Laporte's World Cup plans next year, by which time he intends to be plying his trade in the Premiership.
"My contract ends at the end of this season and I have had a few offers from England," he confirmed.
"I don't want to make any announcement until a deal has been done, but it is likely I will move in the summer."
The capture of Magne would be an attractive proposition for virtually every top-flight side, with the possible exception of Leicester, who already have Neil Back, Josh Kronfeld and Lewis Moody at their disposal.
Bath are likely suitors, providing they avoid the drop, while Gloucester will also look to build on an impressive season.
