Gardaí arrest man after crash in Co Cork

A man has been arrested in connection with a serious crash in Co. Cork this afternoon.

A man has been arrested in connection with a serious crash in Co. Cork this afternoon.

An 83-year-old man is in a serious condition in hospital after the car he was in collided with another vehicle.

It happened on the Bandon Road, about two miles from Skibbereen, at around 1.40pm.

A woman who was also in the car escaped without major injury.

Gardaí are questioning a man in his forties.
