Native Upmanship ready for Naas run

Native Upmanship will complete his preparations for the Queen Mother Champion Chase by running at Naas on Sunday.

Trainer Arthur Moore plans to run the 11-year-old in the Paddy & Helen Cox Memorial Newlands Chase ahead of another crack at the Cheltenham Festival race which he was runner-up in last year.

Native Upmanship will be bidding to follow up his win in the Kinloch Brae Chase last time in the Grade Two race.

“He was always going to run in this race and then we will have another crack at the Queen Mother Champion Chase,” Moore told the Racing Post.

“I’m very happy with him since Thurles and he seems in very good form.”
