The concluding stages have been reached in the trial of a Dublin man accused of manslaughter through dangerous driving causing the death of a Lithuanian truck driver.

Charlie McDonagh (aged 21), Belcamp Lane, Priorswood has admitted he drove the van that killed Mr Robertus Jusius but has pleaded not guilty to manslaughter and dangerous driving causing death.

Final addresses have been made to the jury by prosecuting counsel, Mr Fergal Foley BL and defence counsel, Mr John Phelan SC (with Mr Gerry Charleton BL) on day-four of the trial.

The jury of 11 men and one women will be sent out by Judge Patrick McCartan tomorrow to begin deliberations.
