UK bans vintage jet stunts following airshow accident

In the UK, vintage jets are being banned from performing aerobatic stunts at airshows after Saturday's Shoreham plane crash.

They will be restricted to performing flypasts until further notice.

11 people are confirmed dead after the weekend's disaster, but police said that that number may still rise.

Earlier the wreckage of the plane was removed from a roadway nearby the airshow site.

Assistant Chief Constable Steve Barry has given this update.

"I'm relieved to say that when the aircraft was removed and we examined the site immediately around it, no further victims were identified," said Constable Barry.

"So it remains the case that at this stage, we can say that 11 people are highly likely to be the victims of this crash, and we're in very close contact with those victim's families."
