The meeting between the Football Association of Ireland and the Taoiseach and the Minister for Sport has ended.
The two sides have agreed to meet again next Monday to continue discussions about the proposed involvement of the FAI in the Stadium Ireland project.
The decision of the FAI to enter into talks was seen as a major u-turn in policy, resulting from the meeting with the League of Ireland clubs two weeks ago.
A statement is expected from the Government later today when Mr McDaid announces the winning architectural design for the new stadium.
