IBEC urges Govt to change pension rules to boost economy
A new report published by IBEC this morning is recommending that the Government release additional voluntary contribution pensions in order to boost the economy.
The group that represents Irish businesses said that around €124bn could be generated for the Exchequer by allowing people to access the AVC pension funds.
IBEC is calling on the Government to change pension rules to facilitate people in drawing down their funds.
Chief Economist with the group, Fergal O'Brien, has said boosting the economy would lead to job creation.
