Kittens sign make-up deal
Pop sensations Atomic Kitten have signed their six-figure deal to promote a teenage make-up brand.
The threesome will be paid to endorse products from cosmetic firm Avon’s Color Trend range.
An Avon spokeswoman confirmed that a deal has been signed for one year and that the band members would appear on Color Trends packaging and feature in Avon catalogues and on their web site.
They will also wear the cosmetics throughout their forthcoming UK tour.
The girls, whose last single Whole Again topped the UK charts for four weeks and sold 1.8m copies, are ‘‘thrilled’’ with the deal.
In a statement Jenny Frost, 23, from Manchester, and Liz McClarnon, 19, and Natasha Hamilton, 18, both from Liverpool, said: ‘‘We are really excited to be associated with a prestigious make-up brand.’’
The six-figure deal, which will be announced this morning at the English Speaking Union in central London, is part of a £1m (€1.6m) investment into Color Trend.
