Adrien Brody, who learned to play the piano for his Oscar-winning performance in The Pianist, spent his days with a ventriloquist’s dummy while learning ventriloquism for his latest role in The Dummy.
“I had two weeks to become very comfortable and familiar with this little wooden boy,” he told journalists at the film’s premiere.
“My mother would come over and visit me and I would have the dummy in bed with me in my pyjamas watching instructional ventriloquism videos.
"It was very strange.”
