Man remains in custody over murder of mother and daughter in Killorglin

A man in his 40s is being held by Gardaí in Kerry in relation to the murder of 27-year-old Jolanta Lubiene and her 8-year-old daughter Enrika over a week ago.

Officers launched a murder investigation last week after the Lithuanian mother and her daughter were found dead in their home in Killorglin.

Yesterday morning, a man in his forties was arrested in County Kerry on suspicion of withholding information.

He is being held at Killarney Garda Station.

It has been reported that the local St Vincent De Paul branch has been collecting money to help Jolanta's husband bring their bodies home.
