Adams 'flabbergasted' by Taoiseach's comments
Sinn Féin president Gerry Adams has said he is "flabbergasted" by the Taoiseach's comments that he always assumed Adams was a member of the IRA.
Gerry Adams said he "was not and is not in the IRA" and is flabbergasted to hear what Bertie Ahern had to say.
Mr Adams has said the remarks play into the hands of Unionists who are trying to damage the peace process.
