Aer Lingus has confirmed it will not be publishing its 2009 earnings tomorrow as scheduled.
The announcement has been delayed until the result of the final staff ballot on its cost-cutting plan is complete, and the airline will instead give a brief trading update for last year.
The former national flag carrier was due to have issed a statement to the Dublin stock exchange tomorrow detailing its preliminary earnings for 2009.
That document was expected to confirm an operating loss in the region of €87m.
However Aer Lingus says the preliminary results contained a "restructuring charge" agreed with unions and recommended to staff.
Not all staff have revealed how they have voted on the €97m restructuring. Craft maintenance workers were to have unveiled details of their vote this afternoon but it was delayed for "technical reasons".
The plan has already been rejected by cabin crew.
Aer Lingus is likely press ahead with 1,100 compulsory redundancies if all employees do not vote to accept its cost-cutting measures.
