All files relating to sexual abuse in the Ferns diocese of Wexford are to be handed over to a state investigation.
The new caretaker Bishop of Ferns gave the order after taking over from the former Bishop, Brendan Comiskey. Bishop Eamon Walsh is promising to revisit every complaint of clerical sexual abuse in Wexford.
These include those that were originally deemed not worthy to be sent on to the Director of Public Prosecutions. He says that all church information that is relevant and necessary to get the truth will be made available.
