Jeremy Noseda has responded to the hype generated ahead of Park Accord’s racecourse debut in the Simon Weston Fillies’ Conditions Stakes at Kempton Park tomorrow.
Speculation has grown since an article appeared in the press last month, hinting that Park Accord was the best two-year-old filly under Noseda’s care.
The Newmarket trainer already has one classy juvenile filly in the unbeaten Carry On Katie, impressive winner of the Group Two Peugeot Lowther Stakes at York last month.
“Contrary to certain rumours Park Accord has never worked in company with Carry On Katie and therefore speculation as to their respective merits is purely hypothetical,” Noseda says on his website.
“We feel Park Accord is a filly of promise but she is a backward individual who is more of a three-year-old prospect.
“She is far from fully tuned-up her for her racetrack debut. However, we would hope for a promising display.”
Frankie Dettori partners the Desert Prince, a half-sister to 1999 Sagitta 2000 Guineas winner Island Sands in tomorrow’s class C contest over seven furlongs.
Park Accord is already as low as 16-1 for the 1000 Guineas in some lists.
Her six rivals include Roger Charlton’s newcomer Well Known, a half-sister to the smart Trade Fair, and Mikael Magnusson’s Unavailable, winner of her only start at Goodwood recently.
