Six female teachers and one man have been killed in an ambush by gunmen in north-west Pakistan.
Police in the town of Swabi said the van was carrying teachers working for a non-governmental organisation who were on their way to a community centre.
Gunmen attacked the vehicle on the outskirts of Swabi.
Local police chief Abdur Rasheed did not name the organisation.
Many militants in the conservative Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province where the attack took place oppose female education and have attacked female students and blown up their schools.
No group has claimed responsibility for the attack.
