The new Shed End at Turner's Cross will be officially unveiled on Thursday April 5 at 4pm by the Minister for Arts, Sport and Tourism John O’ Donoghue T.D, completing the stadium’s transformation into an all-seater venue.

The famous Shed End will be open to spectators this Friday as Cork City take on Longford Town. With a capacity of 1,600, the new Shed End will bring the total capacity of Turner’s Cross to 7,500.

The new stand also offers improved facilities for disabled spectators, with a total of 20 wheelchair accessible spaces available at either side of the stand.

Redevelopment work on the Shed End has meant that it has been closed since November 2005. C
